I’m totally over winter. I’ve already started day dreaming about summer holidays and been compiling my ideal capsule wardrobe for spring! Shall I get a leather jacket? I feel my wardrobe needs a leather jacket… Yet, I go outside and it still feels about -10ºC. I can’t wear a leather jacket in this weather!! These last few weeks of winter do seem to stretch out eternally, so what to do to make oneself feel better and closer to spring? Buy yourself some flowers of course! I truly believe that flowers in your home are a balm to the soul. And beautiful flowers need beautiful vessels. While I know jam jars and ceramic jugs makes wonderful vases, I’ve also started a little wish list of proper vases (y’know, ones you can actually buy in a shop and not in the supermarket) for my new season arrangements. and boy, what an upgrade!
TSE TSE WINDFALL HANGING VASE
I have a soft spot for anything produced by Tse-Tse, and their vases in particular… I used to own this vase above… until I broke it. Damned ceramic sinks!
You can buy the Windfall hanging vase here.
NATALIE STRACHAN CERAMICS
Natalie Strachan is a south London ceramist. She makes mugs, bowls and various styles of pots, all of which would make wonderful vases. Her work is bright and just happy, and I need happy in my life.
You can see more of her work here − keep an eye for new stock!
TREE TRUNK BY RICHARD WOOD FOR HAY
I sometimes think that Hay sells everything I could possibly need. Like rubbers and rulers… and of course, vases…
You can buy these tree trunk vases here.
