It’s not the most seasonal DIY project, but heavens before you know it, September will be upon us. Followed by the nights drawing in, the arrival of Autumn proper will see afternoon cups of tea and cake back in fashion over summer’s Pimm’s and crisps.
Let’s get straight to the point. Even the most unbothered gal has probably mustered a dot of interest in the World Cup for her home nation. But when they’ve been knocked out of the group stages (ahem, England) it’s worth trying to develop an angle that makes the subsequent weeks of intense football watching you may be subjected to just a little less monotonous.
Back in January I remember seeing an Anthropologie blog post where they were monograming denim. I thought it was a neat idea, in spite of my total dislike for the business of sewing stuff to your jeans and indeed more generally writing on clothes (there are of course some exceptions – I wouldn’t kick a Bella Freud sweater out of bed).
It’s Saturday, so habit would suggest that at some point today, or possibly tomorrow, you may well if you have kids (and might also if you have not), end up in a park.
Ahhh, the park. A place in which little bits and bobs that you had about your person often go missing by the time you get home.
