20 Oct MAKE A SKELETON COSTUME IN 10 MINUTES
Want to make a Halloween costume quickly out of stuff you already have? Well, try this frighteningly simple DIY:
After I spent all afternoon covering my toddler in tattoos, I had to come up with something for her brother, so made this skeleton costume. It took about 10 minutes and it’s pretty easy. You could even get a little skeleton to help you out if they’re any good with scissors. Plus, you can just as easily do an adult-sized one.
Look at this kid – such a poser – he was made for Halloween.
1. A black top for underneath
2. A white top to cut up with scissors
Draw some rib shapes on the T-shirt then cut them out. It’s really that simple. It you’re feeling a bit nervous about drawing some rib shapes freehand, I have made a template on two sheets of A4 that you can download here. It’s made for a four to six-year-old kid – you could blow it up if you want.
Make sure you cut the ribs all the way to the sides and cut the front and back of the shirt together so they match.
That’s it! Frighteningly simple! Boo!
