I’ve always been the arty one. The one with more ideas than time.

As a designer I’m always looking for a creative solution to navigate parenthood while running a business. It’s my way of making it all work. When I had my daughter a few years ago I wanted to document this crazy, adventure. And Ladyland was born. It’s a place for daily inspiration, things to make and do and great ideas for everyday problems.

I grew up in Sydney as the arty kid at school; managing to dodge sport by painting the sets for the school play. With two artistic parents, creativity ruled in our house – which means even now I can’t find matching socks, but I can build you a fancy dress costume out of scraps.

I studied graphic design at uni which led me to a career art directing magazines, books, TV commercials and fashion campaigns. Then I won a design competition which brought me to London where I ‘popped out’ (ha!) two kids. I am now the Creative Director of a branding agency that I run with my husband.

Motherhood is one hell of a creative project. A continually changing brief, harsh feedback and a lot of hard work. Good thing the clients are cute and they know how to have fun!

My latest exciting project is my first book, it’s called Quick Craft – For Parents Who Think They Hate Craft. (Catchy eh?), you can find it here.

Come join the adventure.
