ALPINE CHERRY CHOC CUPCAKES

I have done a festive post for the Monsoon blog for Alpine Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes. I’ll take any excuse to bake a themed cake! So when Monsoon asked me to share one of my favourite Christmas recipes, I got quite excited.

This recipe is a great one to do with kids because if they end up looking a bit wonky, you can cover them on coconut snow. I like to go all out on decorations when it comes to cakes. I’m not one for a subtle sprinkle of icing sugar to finish. In fact, I regularly use packet mixes for cakes so that I can focus on really letting rip on the decorations.

We loved making this together, we made a huge mess, licked the spoons, licked the bowl and gobbled half the cherries before they made it into the mixture. We go so mucky because of all the chocolate that Frida needed an outfit change, but that meant she got to wear two lovely Monsoon dresses, lucky thing!

I have always loved the brand Monsoon. (Fun fact: I once worked on their catalogue and ended up press-checking it going to print in Germany)… their clothes have always been produced ethically, they are one of the original good guys. Have a look at their Christmas party range, lots of lovely sparkles.
