Beginners chopsticks

The other night I took the kids to our *excellent* local sushi place for dinner and our clever waiter deftly crafted some beginners chopsticks for us.

She took off the paper wrapper and broke the chopsticks apart – as you usually would. Then she rolled up the wrapper into a little roll and placed it between the chopsticks and used an elastic band to bind them together.  The paper roll separates them slightly and the elastic allows them to move without falling apart.

The kids were so excited to be using chopsticks that they forgot they were eating raw fish and seaweed.  You can probably imagine the cloud of smug that hung over our table… until they inevitably turned feral at 8pm and we had to leave.

We do life hacks every Monday, have you got a good one?
