10 Jul HAPPY HOUR – PIMPED PINK LEMONADE
You know how everyone has one spirit that they just can’t go back to after a bad experience? Well, I have steered clear bourbon since Amy Bradley’s house party in 1997 because of an incident that started with a bottle of her dad’s Jack Daniels and a Smashing Pumpkins CD and ended with a TV through a window and my first-ever hangover. So I was quite surprised when I tried this bourbon cocktail and loved it.
The trick is to get the balance right between the bourbon and the Chambord. It should look pink: too much bourbon will make the drink look brown and taste too bourbony. If mixed right, this cocktail is so delicious and so easy to drink that you’ll need to pace yourself! Probably a good thing that Amy Bradley wasn’t serving it back in 1997!
