IN THE LADYLOOP 08-03-16: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S WEEK

It’s International Women’s Week, so in celebration of all things Alpha Female, this week’s Ladyloop celebrates and explores the wonderful world of women in design, the media and politics. Big up the sisterhood!

Celia is in awe of all female architects practicing in the hugely patriarchal world of architecture and design, however Anna Heringer is not only an amazingly talented architect, she also works on projects that matter.

Emma loved reading about this event with some fabulous speakers, including Miranda July, who raise some important points about modern feminism.

Confused about ‘Brexit’? Who isn’t? Bella found this feature about women’s rights in Europe an enlightening read.

Clementine found this new study on genetics pretty depressing: it shows that a woman’s weight will impact on her earning power.

Selina loved this video of Caitlin Moran meeting a bunch of school kids and discussing everything from feminism to ice cream.
