03 Apr MARBLING EASTER EGGS WITH NAIL POLISH
Dying and marbling easter eggs with gold nail polish. It’s really easy but not the tidiest craft project as you’ll see from the state of my hands by the end. But the results are really pretty. I’ve also shown you how to blow eggs, so if you’ve ever wondered whether it’s worth blowing an egg before you decorate it, you’ll see it’s quite easy. Unless you’re a two year old. In which case, it’s quite hard. You’ll see that too.
HOW TO BLOW AN EGG
1. Eggs – we used white duck eggs
2. A pin
3. A skewer
4. A bowl
Usually when I do a craft post I hide away behind the camera and let my fancy manicure do all the talking, but this time I’ve got my mug on screen and I brought along a few little helpers too. In hindsight I probably should have chosen a less embarrassing activity than blowing eggs for my first foray into vlogging. Seriously, what was I thinking?!
HOW TO DYE AND MARBLE EGGS WITH NAIL POLISH
1. Eggs – blown or hard boiled
2. Gel dye
3. Some white vinegar
4. Water in a jar
5. Some cheap nail polish… you use quite a bit
6. Some skewers
